We come from humble beginnings
. Our forefathers were slaves—before the Civil War—afterwards some became sharecroppers and some moved on to become farm owners. Although, many of them were not able to get an education they stressed the importance of getting an education to their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.     As the children grand and great grand children—of those hard workers--we want to help others from humble beginnings by helping to give students the opportunity to earn a college degree.
