The seven (7) original founders of the LS&FCD Memorial Scholarship Fund, organized the fund with the primary purpose of assisting High School Graduates with the most need to attend the college/university of their choice. Since its' inception two of the founders have expired, Linda Daughety Nolen August, 2001 and James Earl Daughety January, 2006. Some changes have been made, however, the fund continues to function and is growing stronger and stronger each year.
The Daughety Scholarship Fund is a 501 (c) (3) non profit tax exempt organization, which continues to have as its' primary purpose to help graduating seniors in their college/university pursuits. We are now a Foundation which continues to be a 501 (c) (3) non profit tax exempt organization and our core value is "Reach Back & Help".
The LS&FCD Memorial Scholarship Fund was amended March 2007, initiated by Rev. Leamon Scott Daughety Jr. to become the Daughety Foundation Inc, in order to include all Daughetys' nationwide, which incorporates the
descendents of: John Lewis Daughety, Rev. William Scott Daughety, Rhodie Daughety-Cobb, Susan Daughety-McCoy, Exline Daughety-Phillips, Henrietta "Eddie" Daughety and Arah Daughety-Cobb.
